Silent meals

Following the discussion we had in class last week, why don't you read this article on a New york restaurant where dinners are silent?

You can write your reaction in the comments.

I think I would enjoy eating in completely silent but wouldn't be too much strict with that rule. I mean, if I foresee I'm going to have a hard time trying to explain something necessary without words (by mime or writing) I think I would speak in whispers in order not to bother anyone.

Sorry, I'll try it again:

In my opinion, I would never go at this kind of restaurant, because I think that one of the most important things when you eat is to have the opportunity of sharing this time whith another person enjoying togeher of a good conversation.

I agree whith the opinion that in several places the level of noise is very hight, for example, in Spain, people normally speak loudly in public places like restaurants and this situation annoys me too, but to lead the level of silence at so strict end it's ridiculous.
