angels, flamingos & eagles - childhood memories

We've been having a look at the past and here is Lois remembering her childhood. Listen to her, do the exercise and check the transcript (you'll find a few spelling mistakes, though).

I'd also like you to write an anecdote you remember from when you were little. Don't be embarrassed, I've already written mine!

I was coming back to Madrid after spending a weekend with a friend of mine at her parents' house in a small village. They kept hens there and they gave me two dozens of eggs to take to my parents. When I arrived home and got out of the car, I tripped and fell down. I wasn't hurt at all but all the eggs (yes, the 24 of them) got broken. The worst thing of all was that my friend, her parents and mine had seen the whole scene and they won't let me forget...

When I was 8, I was playing wiht my aunt in the sofa and I wanted to pinch my aunt's backside, and when I was going to pinch her, unfortunatly, she sat down on my arm and she broke it. I was 20 days with a plaster cast.

My grandfhater had a bar where all of my family and relatives celebrated new year'eve. I was 8 and I lived in the first floor, above the bar. How I was a child my mother left me asleep alone at home and she came back to the party. But I was a somnanbulistic and I got up and went down to the bar. Then ,my parents toke me to the bed and I kept sleeping. Next morning my mother told me this story but I didn't remenber anything.

When I was a child, about three years old I gave to my mother and grandmother the biggest scare of their lives because, when we were in the park, a man said: Hi pretty, little girl do you want me to buy you some sweets?. Of course I said yes, and went with him for a while. Can you imagine how happy my family was?

Good comments, everyone!

Santi, visiting the blog is not enough, you're supposed to do the task.

Ángel, somnambulistic sounds too formal, 'I used to walk in my sleep' sounds more natural. AS I was a child (not HOW)and careful with spelling.

Keep on commenting!

I don´t remember it but my parents say that when I was only 2 or 3 years old my grandmother used to read me a story every day. One day I took the story book and started to read it to my mother, even I turned the pages when I had to do it. My mother was amazed, she thought I was a prodigy. After that, she gave me another book and she discovered that, actually, I couldn´t read, I had memorized the story!. How many times had my grandma read it to me? I´ll never know...

When my sister Carmen and me were children, we had to wear glasses and we used to go to my cousins' house to play with them. Once, we were playing arround the swimming pool and my sister fell into the pool. I was afraid and i started to cry... but, I don't Know why, I only was worried about her glasses! She was angry during several days.
