NB1 & NB2 -English-speaking Spaniards (second part)

Following Elena's suggestion here's an interview with Cesc Fabregas. Listen to it and give your own answers to some of the questions he is asked. Sure yours are much more imaginative than his (I've always wondered why footballers are so unoriginal).

NB1 - listening practice

Dear students,

Take a bit of time to listen to these two conversations. One is about getting around Tokyo and the other one about booking a hotel room. You can answer the comprehension questions first and then do the vocabulary practice activities.

NB1 - passengers and commuters

Hi,

We've had an interesting discussion on the meaning of these two words.
'Commuter' does not necessarily involve using public transport: a person who travels some distance to work, especially in a city, usually by car or train.

You can be a 'passenger' and not pay for the journey: a traveller riding in a vehicle and not operating it.

NB1 & NB2 - English-speaking Spaniards

Dear all,

Here are some well-known Spanish celebrities speaking English. I'd like you to listen to them and tell me what you think about their grammar, vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation. Click on their name to watch the video:

Penélope Cruz
Javier Bardem
Pau Gasol
... and two very sexy players playing for Liverpool: Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso

We'll leave Mrs Esperanza Aguirre for some other time when she's not in the limelight!
